Kinfolk
July 20, 2009
We had the privilege of getting to know Ryan & Akira at Kinfolk Bicycles in LA a few weekends past. The bikes are amazing. Who else is making new, custom, professional-grade Kierin-style bicycles available here in the U.S.? Don't buy a crashed-up, dented-out, obsolete-tubing used import frame. Check these out. Framebuilder Kusaka does some amazing work. Check out the website and the flickr blog for more info.

"obsolete-tubing"? What difference does that make?
Also, go on and read up about the Ishiwata-tubing which was the tubing used on many older Keirin frames.
